OCTOBER – MONTH OF THE HOLY ROSARY

October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary because October 7 is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. This feast was established by Pope St. Pius V in 1571 to thank God for the victory at the Battle of Lepanto, a miracle attributed to the powerful intercession of Our Lady through the Rosary.

At St. Thomas Forane Church, Jalahalli, the Month of the Rosary is observed with great devotion. The Rosary is recited daily before the morning Holy Qurbana. From October 22, special evening Holy Qurbana has been held, with the Rosary led by different wards each day. The devotion will conclude on October 31, with the Rosary at 6:00 PM, followed by Holy Qurbana, Ladeenju, and Nercha.

Teens Gathering 2025 – Participation from Our Parish Youth

Held at Christ Academy, the Teens Gathering 2025 on October 2, 2025, was a vibrant and faith-filled experience. Children from our parish studying in Classes 8 to 12 actively took part in this event, which brought young people together to worship, interact, and grow in Christ. Filled with enthusiasm, joy, and fellowship, the gathering created cherished memories while nurturing the spiritual development of our youth.

CML Chain Rosary – Parish Children’s Participation

On October 18, 2025, children from the CML unit of our parish joyfully participated in the Chain Rosary organized by the CML Central Unit. With deep devotion and unity, they prayed together and completed two sets of the Holy Rosary — the Joyful and Sorrowful Mysteries. It was a beautiful expression of faith, as young voices came together to pray for peace, love, and God’s blessings upon all.

SANTHOM YOUTH FRONT (STYF JALAHALLI)

San Thome Youth Front hosted the first-ever combined San Thome Cup, featuring football and basketball tournaments, at the St. Claret Ground on October 19, 2025. A total of 36 teams participated, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of around 700 spectators. Despite a brief rain delay, the event was a resounding success. St. Michael’s Church emerged as the football champions, while St. Mark’s Cathedral clinched the basketball title. This inaugural joint tournament marked a remarkable milestone for the community and set the tone for many more exciting events to come!

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

Visit to Akashaparavakal Thirumugham Ashram – September 7, 2025

Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul visited Akashaparavakal Thirumugham Ashram, Bylakere, on September 7, 2025. A total of six members from the SSVP St. Thomas Forane Church, Jalahalli Conference participated in the visit. The team spent time in prayer at the chapel and extended support by providing monthly groceries worth ₹25,000 to the Ashram.

MATHRUVEDHI

Mathruvedi Annual Day Celebration

On October 2nd, around thirty mothers from our parish joyfully participated in the Mandya Diocese Mathruvedi Annual Day celebrations. With great enthusiasm and unity, the group presented a beautiful and well-prepared programme that reflected their faith, creativity, and dedication.

Their heartfelt participation and team spirit were recognized and appreciated, as the unit was honored with a consolation prize in the Best Unit Award competition. The event was a meaningful opportunity for the mothers to come together in fellowship, share their talents, and strengthen their commitment to serve the Church and community.

PITHRUVEDHI

An online Help Desk Camp was organized on September 28, 2025, under the initiative of STAARS Pithruvedi, to assist parishioners with Norka Roots ID card registration and renewal, insurance policy registration, and other related services. Many parish members made good use of this opportunity.

On October 19, during the celebration of Mission Sunday, the STAARS Pithruvedi members actively participated in the organization of the event, working in close coordination with the parish trustees.

Norka Roots ID Card രെജിസ്ട്രേഷൻ, പുതുക്കൽ,ഇൻഷുറൻസ് പോളിസി രെജിസ്ട്രേഷൻ തുടങ്ങിയ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ഇടവകങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കാനായി ഒരു ഓൺലൈൻ Help Desk ക്യാമ്പ് 28-സെപ്തംബര്-2025  നു സ്റ്റാർസ് പിതൃവേദിയുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടികയുണ്ടായി. ഇടവന്ഗങ്ങൾ പലരും ഈ അവസരം വിനിയോഗിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.

ഒക്ടോബർ 19 നു നടന്ന മിഷൻ Sunday യുടെ സംഘാടനത്തിൽ കൈക്കാരന്മാരോടൊപ്പം സ്റ്റാർസ് പിതൃവേദി അംഗങ്ങളും വളരെ ആക്റ്റീവ് ആയി പങ്കെടുത്തു.
