Feast of St. Joseph – 19th March 2025

The feast of St. Joseph was celebrated with great devotion and joy at St. Thomas Forane Church, Jalahalli on March 19th, 2025. St. Joseph, honored as the foster father of Jesus and the patron of workers, families, and the universal Church, was commemorated with special prayers, the Holy Qurbana, and a Novena.

 

The celebration was made even more special as it coincided with the feast day of our Assistant Vicar, Rev. Fr. Joseph Thoompanal CMF.

 

To conclude the festivities, a special Holy Qurbana was held on 23rd March 2025, followed by a Nercha, bringing the parish community together in faith and fellowship.

 

Society of St Vincent De Paul

Visit to Akashaparavakal Thirumugham Ashram – 2nd February 2025

As part of the Year of Care Programme, the St. Vincent de Paul Society (SSVP) of St. Thomas Forane Church visited the Akashaparavakal Thirumugham Ashram in Lakshmipura on 2nd February 2025.

 

10 members from the SSVP conference participated in the visit, donating monthly groceries worth ₹25,000 and an additional ₹5,000 to support the ashram’s needs.

 

The visit included a time of Adoration at the chapel, followed by a shared meal with the residents, fostering fellowship and warmth. This outreach effort was a meaningful expression of faith and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on both the visitors and the residents.

Pearl Jubilee & Women’s Day Celebration – 30 Glorious Years of Faith and Fellowship

The 30th Anniversary – Pearl Jubilee and Women’s Day celebration of the St. Thomas Forane Church, Jalahalli Mathruvedi was held on March 9th with a solemn Holy Qurbana led by Fr. Sabu Kuttarappallil, Provincial Father of the Claretian Congregation, Bangalore Province.

 

The founding vicar of Mathruvedi, Fr. George Kannanthanam, delivered the Gospel message. The public meeting that followed was presided over by the vicar, Msgr. Rev. Sunny Mathew CMF. A review of the past 30 years and the financial report were presented during the meeting.

 

Felicitation addresses were delivered by former vicars and animator sisters. Mementos were presented to former office bearers and individuals who achieved personal milestones over the past 30 years. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of various competitions.

 

After lunch, Sr. Josna S.D. from Samaritan Ministry conducted an insightful session.

 

The Pearl Jubilee celebration of Jalahalli Mathruvedi left a lasting memory for all the mothers, making it a truly special day.

ജാലഹള്ളി സെന്റ് തോമസ് ഫോറോനാ ഇടവക മാതൃവേദിയുടെ  മുപ്പതാം വാർഷിക- പേൾ ജുബിലി ആഘോഷവും വിമൻസ് ഡേ  ആഘോഷവും മാർച്ച്‌ ഒൻപതാം തിയ്യതി ക്ലാരിഷ്യൻ കോൺഗ്രിഗേ ഷൻ  ബാംഗ്ലൂർ പ്രൊവിൻഷ്യൽ ഫാദർ സാബു കുറ്റാരപ്പള്ളിലിന്റെ കാർമികത്തിൽ വിശുദ്ധ കുർബാനയോടുകൂടി ആരംഭിച്ചു. മാതൃവേദി സ്ഥാപകവികാരി ഫാദർ ജോർജ്‌ കണ്ണന്താനം സുവിശേഷസന്ദേശം  നൽകി. തുടർന്ന് നടന്ന പബ്ലിക് മീറ്റിംഗ് വികാരിയച്ചൻ  മോൻസിഞ്ഞോർ  സണ്ണി മാത്യുവിന്റെ അധ്യക്ഷതയിൽ ആരംഭിച്ചു. മുപ്പതു വർഷത്തെ അവലോകന റിപ്പോർട്ടും കണക്കവതരണവും നടത്തി. മുൻവികാരിമാരുടെയും ആനിമേറ്റർ  സിസ്റ്റേഴ്സിന്റെ  ആശംസസന്ദേശവും   ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ മുപ്പതു വർഷത്തിൽ ഭാരവാഹികളായിരുന്നവർക്കും വ്യക്തി പരമായി നേട്ടം കൈവരിച്ചവർക്കുമുള്ള  മൊമെന്റോകളും വിവിധ മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ  പങ്കെടുത്തവർക്കുള്ള സമ്മാന വിതരണവും  നടത്തി. ഉച്ച ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്  ശേഷം  സിസ്റ്റർ ജോസ്ന എസ്  ഡി സമരിറ്റൻ മിനിസ്ട്രി യുടെ  ക്ലാസും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

ജലഹള്ളി ഇടവക മാതൃവേദിയുടെ മുത്തു ജുബിലി  ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ അമ്മമാർക്ക് ഓർമയിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കാൻ നല്ലൊരു ദിവസം സമ്മാനിച്ചു.
