Palm Sunday – 13 April 2025
Holy Week began with a solemn Palm Sunday celebration. The faithful gathered at St. Claret PU College, where palm branches were blessed and distributed. A prayerful procession followed to the church, recalling Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
Maundy Thursday – 17 April 2025
The day began with ward-wise Eucharistic Adoration at the Adoration Chapel. In the evening, Holy Qurbana was celebrated, during which 12 altar servers’ feet were washed by the Parish Priest, symbolizing Jesus’ humility and love. The traditional Pesaha Appam was cut and shared with the faithful.
Good Friday – 18 April 2025
The solemn Good Friday service began at 7:00 AM at St. Thomas Forane Church, Jalahalli. It included the Passion reading and Way of the Cross, helping the faithful reflect deeply on Christ’s suffering and death.
Holy Saturday – 19 April 2025
On Holy Saturday morning, the blessing of candles and holy water was held. Parishioners renewed their baptismal promises, preparing their hearts for Easter with spiritual reflection.
Easter – 20 April 2025
Easter Vigil was celebrated on Saturday night at 9:00 PM, followed by Holy Qurbana on Easter morning. A joyful procession and symbolic setup of Golgotha inside the church marked the celebration. Easter eggs were distributed, symbolizing new life and resurrection.
